Jumbo Pass in BC and Bitterroot Resort in Montana sit on drawing boards with over 6000 feet of vertical drop. Although Europe has a long list of 6000’+ (2000m+) drops, including places you may never have heard of (Murren? Solden?), the exhausting 6000 Foot Drop remains elusive in North America.

We are getting closer -- Revelstoke, British Columbia pushed its gondola lower on the mountain but in doing so eclipsed Whistler/Blackcomb’s metrically-coincidental 5280’ vertical drop.
